September wrap-up, favourites and others 🍁🍄

Dear reader,

September may have been my favourite month of 2019, even though it did have some bad parts to it and more. It has been a really challenging month because I started my new job, my first real job with real responsibilities, because I started my last year of studies, because I didn’t have a lot of money (I think we need to talk about money more) and it wasn’t always easy to manage to it all, because I had to deal with my depression once again. Yet I had the best time ever and I can’t wait to share it with you all.

So without further ado, here is my September wrap-up and everything that made it so special!

 WHAT I READ

In September I read 10 books, which is my usual so I’m super happy to be back on track! Here is what I read:

 WHAT I LOVED

  • Being a literature teacher

At the end of October I’ll be posting my thoughts on my first months being a literature teacher, but spoiler alert: I’m having the best time. It has been challenging, hard at times, but there’s nothing quite like it. It’s extremely rewarding and I hope it’ll stay this way.

  • Gilmore Girls

So… I’m finally finished Gilmore Girls. I have been watching this show for years, like at least five years. I never finished it because, well, I sometimes stopped as I got annoyed with the plot. But I’m finally got done with it and it feels weird, but I had the best time watching it and can’t wait to rewatch it.

  • Being more and more myself

Overall, what I truly loved this month was that I started to be more and more myself. I’m surrounded by amazing friends and an amazing family, have been living a healthier lifestyle, have been happy overall, get rid of toxic people and things, and so on. It has been a real blast to be creative again and to finally feel like I’m truly someone. (It’s Libra season now, so it made sense I would start to shine!)

  • The start of Autumn

For the first time in a long, long time, it finally felt like Autumn right in September. It got colder, it started raining and trees turned orange and red. I’m having the best time, studying in cafés and libraries while it’s raining outside, taking pictures of dead leaves and so on.

 CHECKING ON MY SEPTEMBER GOALS

For the first time, I’ve actually accomplished all my goals for September. I wanted to do well in my studies, to do well in front of my students, to keep up reading, blogging and bookstagramming, overall to have an healthier life style (keeping up my new routines, eating healthier, sleeping 8h per night, seeing my friends and family from time to time, seeing my doctors regularly, taking care of my diabetes etc), and to be a better version of myself. I did it all and that’s why I’ve been feeling myself lately. I’m creating, reading, being happy at my job etc etc.

WHAT I WANT TO DO IN OCTOBER

Of course I have to set myself some new goals for October. Here they are:

  • Study and work better,
  • Keep up reading, blogging and bookstagramming,
  • Get back to my routine,
  • Celebrate myself (my birthday is coming!),
  • Enjoy every day.

And that’s it for September!

How was your month? What have you read? How are you?

Love always,

Clara

  1. You’ve read so many books last month! AND Harry Potter ❤ I've been meaning to start re-reading them this year… but there are so many new books to read as well. 🙂

So glad that you're enjoying being a teacher, would love to hear more about your first days and overall experience

  2. Ugh I was blog hopping and I accidentally hit enter on your post. Whoops. If you don’t mind deleting the first comment.

My actual comment for this post was that I planned on reading HP and Chamber of Secrets for October.

  3. oh, clara i wish i was as positive as you are about your month! i think i’m just a pessimistic at heart. even though september was a good month overall – i read enough books, i went to a concert and an outdoor cinema, etc – i could only see the negatives and held on to my bad mood and bad thoughts through the entire month. i’m glad that despise the things you were going through, you still managed to enjoy september so much!
i’m SO glad you enjoyed jackpot so much!!! i’m so excited for this one and counting down the days for its release. i really enjoyed what i’ve read so far by nic stone and i’m glad to hear you enjoyed the romance so much. it’s made me even more hyped pick it up!
i’m glad to hear you’re enjoying your work so much. i remember reading your post about how you were scared/hesitant about it, so it’s lovely to hear that you’ve been loving it so much!
i’ve been hearing conversations about fall for weeks now. sadly, can’t relate. it’s currently spring here, but it already feels like summer. it’s supposed to be around 34ºC here for the next few days 🙃
wishing you luck on your october goals! (out of the three blog posts i’ve read today, all of them were written about people who also have their birthdays in october, lol. how weird!)

  5. I’m glad to hear that overall, you had a great month! And that you’re having the best time in your job, I’m very very happy for you, Clara! I do agree, though, that money should be talked about more often, it can get really complicated to handle at times. I hope you have a fantastic October – I can’t wait to hear more about what you’re up to! ^^
