Dear reader,
June has been intense. I had to study non-stop for my competition to become a literature teacher (I’ll have the results this week and I am terrified) (I JUST GOT THE NEWS AND I PASSED!!! I AM A LITERATURE TEACHER!!!) and that’s mostly all I did. I stopped watching tv shows because of it, I haven’t read a lot – I just studied and tried to calm my anxiety and depression. I did go out a few times but that was it.
I’m really glad that this month is over because it has been so challenging and I hope that July will be full of good news! No matter what, July means the release of Spider-Man: Far From Home, of the third season of Stranger Things and my departure to London for YALC 2019!
So let’s finally wrap-up June! š
ā„ WHAT I READ
Reading wasn’t my priority this month, just as it hasn’t been for the whole year. Now that I’m on vacations though I’ll be able to get back to it!
No matter what, here’s what I read in June:
- Defy Me by Tahereh Mafi, 4/5 stars
- Going Off Script by Jen Wilde, 4.5/5 stars
- Are We All Lemmings and Snowflakes? by Holly Bourne, 3.5/5 stars (buddy read with the amazing Marie)
- Red, White and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston, 3.75/5 stars
- With the Fire on High by Elizabeth Acevedo, 5/5 stars
- Ghosts of the Shadow Market (novellas), overall 4/5 stars
- The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid, 5/5 stars
ā„ WHAT I LOVED
- Hanging out with Roxanne
Over the month I have been able to see my friend Roxanne again, and we have hung out a lot. We mostly studied but we also saw each other to drink tea, to have breakfast, to go book shopping and more. I love her a lot and am very thankful to have such an amazing friend in my life.
- Going to Disneyland with my best friend
For the first time I went to Disneyland Paris with my best friend, just the two of us. Though the day hasn’t been that easy because there were too many people in the park we still had an amazing day and I’m so happy that I got to share this with her. I love my best friend more than anything in this life.
ā„ CHECKING ON MY JUNE GOALS
As always I had some goals for June. I wanted to save more money (unfortunately I couldn’t), to study better than ever (and I did study a lot), to become a litterature teacher (I AM!!!!!) and to keep blogging and reading, which I still did no matter what! Look at me being a consistent blogger!
ā„ WHAT I WANT TO DO IN JULY
Here are my goals for July:
- Read at least ten books,
- Blog a lot,
- Catch up on my tv shows,
- See my friends and family.
And that’s a wrap!
How was your month? How many books have you read? What did you love? Tell me all about it!
Love always,
Clara

Wonderful wrap up, love! Your Disney trip sounds like it was so much fun! I used to have a pass to Disneyland/California Adventure, and even if it was crowded sometimes, I always had a blast if I was with a great friend! 7 books is definitely still an accomplishment, and I’m glad you had some 4 and 5 star reads in there! I hope you read many fantastic books in July! ā¤
