The end of the year is coming and I’m really sad that I haven’t been able to read that much this year, but also that I haven’t been able to do the Mid Year Book Tag challenge (which I have been doing for years). So instead of feeling sorry for myself, I thought I could actually check what I’ve been reading so far and decide on what I should do before 2022.
Therefor here are the 5 books I want to read before the end of the year!
❥ The Fellowship of the Ring by J. R. R. Tolkien
I have been obsessed with Tolkien for years and even went to Oxford to get to know him a bit better. Despite going to exhibits about him and having read two books written by Tolkien in the past years, I never really took the time discover the Lord of the Ring series. It all changed this year as I watched all the long version of the three movies and read The Hobbit this summer. Therefor, before 2022 arrives, I would love to have, at least, read The Fellowship of the Ring.
❥ One TJR book
Taylor Jenkins Reid is one of my favourite authors but so far I only read three of her books, which also are the most popular ones: The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, Daisy Jones & the Six and Malibu Rising. It makes sense that before the end of the year I would love to read more from her early works, but I don’t know yet which one I’ll pick up first.
❥ Oculta by Maya Montayne
I can’t believe that I spent months waiting for this release and that I still haven’t had the time to pick it up. I cannot wait to dive into it and to meet again with all those characters that I love deeply. Hopefully it’ll be soon!
❥ The Burning God by R. F. Kuang
In terms of other releases I waited for months and still haven’t gotten around to it… I really thought I’ll have the time to read it this summer, but I got so busy and didn’t want to spend three weeks reading it. Hopefully I’ll be able to pick it up before the end of the year!
❥ The Jasmine Throne by Tasha Suri
Finally, I got this physical ARC earlier this year and ever since saw everyone get obsessed with it, but I still haven’t had the time to read it, which is such a shame. I hope I’ll be able to do so soon because it looks so good and right up my alley!
And that’s all!
