Three middle grade books to read this autumn | The Autumn Diary 2020 #3 πŸ‚πŸ“™

Dear reader,

I am back with another autumnal post, which always makes me the happiest. Last year I recommended you books for autumn based on different moods (cosy, spooky and academic) but as I already recommended you some classics to read this year, I thought of this time recommending you books based on different age groups.

Therefor here are three middle grade novels to read this fall!

β₯ The Cassidy Blake series by V.E. Schwab

I mean, you know I had to recommend this series, right? Those books are absolutely amazing for autumn because they are spooky (there are GHOSTS and it takes place in creepy cities) but also fun and they brought me tons of comfort for whatever reasons. You can also read those books in one setting, which would make it fun to read on Halloween for example, and even read the two books already out in one weekend. I promise you they’ll bring you all the autumn vibes.

β₯ The Legends of Eerie-on-Sea series by Thomas Taylor

I recommended this book for summer as well, but for a rainy and hot day because it sure has some creepy vibes, and that’s why I think it’s also perfect for autumn. It takes place in a city by the sea but it talks about a monster, which makes it perfect for Halloween. I personally love to read about stories near the sea for whatever reasons, and this MG novel made me the happiest. I would highly recommend it, especially if you can pick it up while it’s pouring outside.

β₯ The Nevermoor series by Jessica Townsend

Finally, I always want to recommend this book for winter but it may be because I read it for the first time in December when actually this book can be seen as spooky because the main character is cursed. It talks about a girl who was supposed to die on her 11th birthday until a mysterious man come to pick her up to take her to Nevermoor. It’s fun, entertaining and will definitely make you spend a nice and cosy fall evening.

And that’s all!

What middle grade book would you recommend us to read in autumn?

Love always,

Clara
