Back in October (I know, it’s a shame) the amazing Alexandra @ Reading By Starlight tagged me on the Awesome Blogger Award which was originally created by Maggie over at Dreaming of Guatemala. Apparently this “is an award for the absolutely wonderful writers all across the blogging world. They have beautiful blogs, are kind and lovely, and always find a way to add happiness and laughter to the lives of their readers. That is what truly defines an awesome blogger”.
I feel stupid for only getting to it now but I had too many ideas for Autumn and Christmas, so I had to wait before actually starting to write down this blog post. I still want to thanks Alexandra for always tagging me on her blog posts – it means a lot as she is an amazing book blogger who I love to read!
Now let’s get into the Awesome Blogger Award!

❥ The questions
- If you could get a first, signed edition of any book what would it be and why?
I’m debating between Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone by J.K. Rowling or Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare. The first one would purely be because, well, I grew up with the series and owning such a unique book would be amazing but I’ll also love to have a first edition of Clockwork Angel as I only read it first in French and therefor missed the first English print. Any would be amazing, really.
- Gun to your head – who is your ultimate favorite Harry Potter character?
Remus Lupin, by far. I have always been obsessed with him and I love him so, so, so much. I have so much respect for this man and I’ll treasure him forever.
- What is your favorite Disney movie? What makes it your favorite?
I have a few favourite Disney movies, but my number one definitely is Tangled. My sister has this theory that all your favourite Disney movies say a lot about yourself, and mine always do have the same theme: the feeling of being stuck somewhere, of not fitting it with the rest of the world etc. Tangled has those theme too, but I mostly love it because I can see myself in Rapunzel and because I fell in love with Eugene.
- A hated adaption that you secretly [or not-so-secretly] loved.
I mean, I don’t talk about it online all the time but all my friends know that I love the Percy Jackson movies. They aren’t perfect but they’re enjoyable movies, and that’s enough for me. I never care if an adaptation doesn’t follow the book exactly, I don’t think it’s the point. For me, the point of an adaptation is to present another take on the story. And I wrote a paper on the Percy Jackson movies and how while being very different from the books they still check all the important themes and adapted it to a new format. The humor is here for example, but in a different way, and I really like it.
- Recommend me the perfect summery book.
The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants by Ann Brashares will forever be my favourite summer book. I used to read one book every summer when I was a child, and each book in this series takes place in summer, so it makes it all perfect to read when the sun shines.
- What’s your favorite season?
I can’t choose between Autumn and Winter because I find peace in both, and that’s always when I’m the most inspired.
- Do you have a song that always gets you into that summer vibe?
For some reasons I always listen to the musical In the Heights in summer and it never fails to put me in the mood.
- A secret door has just appeared in your library – it’s an old wooden door with wrought iron detailing. Where does it take you?
Cambridge, most definitely. This city owns my heart and makes my soul shines if that makes sense.
- It’s happening – you are about to get in your first fight! What is the soundtrack to your fight?
Probably Night Falls which is a song from the movie Descendants 3. It may sound stupid, but I am obsessed with those movies and I love this fight song.
- What is the best blogging advice you’ve ever been given?
To blog hop, definitely. I used to only write and never really look for what others were doing. I am not the best at keeping up with everything but blog hopping truly is important, especially to meet others and to get inspired too.
- Halloween or Christmas?
Probably Christmas, because I don’t like scary things, but I do love Halloween a lot for tons of other reasons.
And that’s it!
I’m sorry that I’m not tagging anyone on this, but I hope that you still liked reading my answers. So I still wanted to ask you… Halloween or Christmas?
