Dear reader,

I am back with another one of my blog post series, the one where I recommend you several tv show to binge watch for the season! For some reasons I wasn’t totally inspired by winter (or maybe it’s because I don’t watch anything at the moment) so I decided to go with three different tv shows instead of five.

Therefor I give you three tv shows to binge watch this winter!

β₯ Merry Happy Whatever

What it’s about: “A strong-willed patriarch must balance the demands of his complicated family with the stress of the Christmas season when his youngest daughter comes home for the holidays with a new boyfriend.” via IMDb

Why you should watch it this winter: I mean, it’s a holiday tv show, so obviously you should watch it this winter. I personally binge watched it while I was sick in a few hours and I really liked it. It’s nothing spectacular but it’ll definitely put you in a Christmassy mood!

To watch when: You have a free afternoon, a hot cocoa in your hand and a few Christmas sugar cookies.

Three emojis to describe it: β€οΈπŸŽ„πŸ™ŽπŸΌ

β₯ The Marvelous Mrs Maisel

What it’s about: “A housewife in the 1960s decides to become a stand-up comic.” via IMDb

Why you should watch it this winter: To be honest this show is perfect to watch whenever (and the third season to watch in summer), but I still wanted to include it here because somehow everything that happens in New York reminds me of chilly afternoons and joy (I never went there, but eh). It’s an amazing tv show which will make you feel warmer inside during the cold days.

To watch when: It’s cold outside and you need something to cheer you up.

Three emojis to describe it: πŸ‘©πŸ½πŸŽ™πŸŒƒ

β₯ The Crown

What it’s about: “Follows the political rivalries and romance of Queen Elizabeth II’s reign and the events that shaped the second half of the twentieth century.” via IMDb

Why you should watch it this winter: Again, it’s not really wintery or anything, but I love to watch period dramas during autumn and winter. I have yet to catch up with this one but I really loved what I saw of it and I know that it’ll be amazing to watch while it’s snowing outside.

To watch when: You made too much pop corn and want to spend a cosy evening in bed.

Three emojis to describe it: πŸ‘‘πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸ°

And that’s it!

I hope that you enjoyed this new blog post. Tell me what you would recommend to binge watch this winter!

Love always,

Clara

  1. I’m so behind on all the tv shows I watch, but obviously, I’ll check out The Marvelous Mrs Maisel and The Crown!! The holiday show doesn’t really appeal to me, somehow. Thanks for the recommendations! πŸ˜€

  2. YES, Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. It’s SO GOOD! I think it might be that either you “hate” it or love it, but it’s definitely on my top 5 series. It’s just so clever and timeless in many issues (unfortunately). Suzie is my favorite character, although Midge is such a unique and amazing character as well. Script is genius.

Definitely consider watching the first series, if I get the time – I have a lot of Christmas movie on my list this year! haha.🌠
