Let’s just that I’m a late blogger. The sweet Chiara @chiaraschreaveblog tagged me months ago to do the Infinity War book tag but I never did. Better late than never… Right? Well, let’s get through it!
❥ IRON MAN: FIRST BOOK OF A VERY PROMISING SERIES
I wanted to go with a book I haven’t read the rest of the series yet, and it ended up being super hard. Apparently I haven’t started a lot of new series recently. After thinking a lot and going through Goodreads over and over again, I finally found one and it was so obvious, I don’t know why I didn’t think of it right away.
Renegades by Marissa Meyer is, for me, the first book of a very promising series. I read it a the beggining of the year and it still is one of my favourites – I can’t seem to get it out of my head. I need to have the sequel, I need to know more and I need to be reunited with those characters.
❥ CAPTAIN AMERICA: BEST BATTLE/WAR SCENE
I read so many books with epic battle scenes that it was, once again, very hard to choose. I finally decided to go with the final battle scene in Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare because even though I read it years ago I still remember it perfectly and will always be amazed by it. I was so scared for all those characters and Cassandra Clare managed to write something brilliant to end this war.
❥ THOR: A CHARACTER WHO’S NOT HUMAN
As soon as I read the question, I knew I had to go with Iko from the Lunar Chronicles series by Marissa Meyer. She is my favourite, honestly. She made me laugh so much, she also inspired me a lot because she is so fierce and brave. I feel as if not so many people talk about her when she deserves just as much love as everyone in this brilliant series.
❥ LOKI: A CHARACTER WHO SWINGS BETWEEN GOOD AND BAD
I saw a lot of people choosing Kaz Brekker for this one, and I totally see why, but I have to go with both Victor and Eli from Vicious by V.E. Schwab. I mean, this book is about anti-heroes. I had no other choice than going with those two, right? (Also, Vicious is one of my favourite books in the entire world so you may want to check it out.)
❥ HULK: A BOOK THAT MADE YOU ANGRY
I know that most people who did this tag went with an important book which dealth with heavy subjects, but I decided to go with one which made me angry because of how much I disliked it: To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han. I am sorry if you loved it and I know that it’s a very popular book, but it didn’t work out for me. I kept making angry noises while reading it and one of my friends, Morgane, can attest it.
❥ BLACK WIDOW: YOUR FAVORITE BADASS MAIN CHARACTER
Emma Carstairs from the Dark Artifices series by Cassandra Clare is by far my favourite strong character. She is simply amazing, fierce, funny, loyal and everything I want to be. Plus, she gets to live with the Blackthorns and with Julian in particular. How could she not be my favourite?
❥ HAWKEYE: A BOOK OR A SERIES THAT SHOULD BE MORE POPULAR
I have no idea why I never see this book around the book community but This Monstrous Thing by MacKenzie Lee deserves so much more love. People talk about the author though, as she wrote the Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue but no one talks about this one, or so it seems. This Monstrous Thing has been my favourite book of 2017 and I’ll never stop recommending it. (Shoutout to my friend Lucie for giving it to me for my birthday.)
❥ SPIDER-MAN: A CHARACTER YOU CAN IDENTIFY WITH
Ah Spider-Man. My favourite. Peter Parker is actually one of the characters I identify the most with, but we’re going to go with Taylor from Queens of Geek by Jen Wilde for this one. If you haven’t read this book, Taylor is basically a fangirl who is struggling with anxiety. I saw myself a lot in her and related to a lot of things she was either saying or doing.
❥ DOCTOR STRANGE: A BOOK OR A SERIES WITH THE MOST INTERESTING MAGIC SYSTEM
I could go with a million books for this one. For example the Shadowhunter world by Cassandra Clare is incredible and infinite. However, I have to go with the wizarding world by J.K. Rowling. I’m not really original but it’s the one that fascinates me the most. It has all those rules we don’t know about, countless wizard jobs, spells and everything. It’s mesmerising.
❥ BLACK PANTHER: A BOOK OR A SERIES THAT EXPLORES A DIFFERENT CULTURE
I read many books that explores a different culture but I decided to go with Flame in the Mist by Renée Ahdieh. It wasn’t my favourite book ever, I was somehow disappointed by the story but the world itself was incredible.
❥ GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY: A BOOK YOU EXPECTED NOTHING FROM THAT, INSTEAD, SURPRISED YOU
I could go with many books for this one but I decided to choose Scarlet by Marissa Meyer, which I already chose last year for the same question in the Mid-Year Freak Out Book Tag. I read Cinder, the first book in the series, a long time ago and was a bit disappointed. I adored the world but everything was too predictable. When I picked up Scarlet a year ago, I was expecting nothing from it. Really. And it turned out to be amazing.
❥ VISION: WHAT BOOK YOU THINK YOU WILL UNDOUBTEDLY LIKE?
Obviously, I have to go with the upcoming last book of my favourite series: Queen of Air and Darkness by Cassandra Clare. Even though this book will probably break me and will make me regret starting it in the first place, I know that Cassandra Clare can’t do me wrong and will prove once again why she’s my favourite author.
❥ BUCKY: THE SIDEKICK YOU WOULD ALWAYS WANT TO HAVE BY YOUR SIDE
It is always so hard to only choose one as I love many, many characters but I think that I would love to have Levi from Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell by my side. He is incredible, funny and would be able to help me when I’m facing my anxiety. Plus, I could hang out to his Starbucks while he’s working to work on my novel or just read. Wouldn’t that be amazing?
❥ THANOS: A BOOK YOU WANT TO START BUT SCARES YOU FOR ITS NUMBER OF PAGES
I am not really scared by the number of pages but I started Middlemarch by George Elliot a while ago and never finished it, even though I loved the beggining. It’s mostly due to a slump and because I only want to read quick standalones at the moment, but I still haven’t picked up again and knowing that it’s more than 900 pages long doesn’t make it easier for me.
❥ INFINITY STONES: A MAGIC OBJECT YOU WOULD LIKE TO OWN
The invisibility clock from the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling has always been something I wanted. Ever since I was a child, I wish I had it to hide from the world when it was too hard to live in it or even to finally know what people who used to make me feel horrible said behind my back. It probably isn’t the best but I always wanted this clock.
Here we go! I finally suck less now that I’ve done this one, and it was so much fun. I hope that you loved reading my answers and please, feel free to consider yourself tagged if you read this or even to answer to some questions in the comments.
By the way, what Marvel movie is your favourite? You may not know but I have an unhealthy obsession for Spider-Man: Homecoming.
